I think the website of fox news is very American style website, with dazzled ads and other information. But one good thing is it provides a detailed information of the photo, such as the place, the people who in the photo and the derivation of the photo, which help people to know better about the background of the story.
Another positive point of the news report is you can find they provide an editor note to explain the situation the journalists were when the news happened, very special and very considerable.
The whole news described detailed information of the parade, the clothing of the leading role in the news story, with interviews of politician from different countries and even the slogan can be a news point to indicate something behind. Fox New comments are a bit depressing. It's like nobody can have a serious conversation without giving different leaders cute nicknames.
An episode of description of Japanese reporting of this news tends to make a conflict atmosphere in the news, which makes the news more appealing.
This parade just seemed like a showcase of the new North Korea to the rest of the world. Other professor, said in the interview that The parade served as a sign that the military has loyalty to the successor, which I believe will tighten the relationship between north and south Korea, china and America as well.
Here are other opinions about this news, which I can’t agree more:
it would be impressive if this dynastic dictatorship could survive this succession. It would be the first one in modern history to survive three successions. Even if North Korea does remain stable after this, their infrastructure is crumbling and the Chinese are getting tired of it. However, the Chinese don't want millions of North Koreans rushing their borders when the regime does collapse - neither do the South Koreans. So, it could go either way. We just have to wait and see what happens.
Anyway I think this news shows a good example of how to describe a story in a more profound way.
The caption beneath the photo as well as the editor's note are fantastic ways to contextualize the story, haven't seen these yet in other online news sources. The comment feature also seems like a good idea (stupid comments aside) as this is a very topical issue with serious global implications, readers LOVE to feel directly engaged, even if it is only through a comment box.
