The yahoo news website doesn’t have very unique style; conversely, it just looks a little bit disorder with all kinds of ads tumbling between titles and categories. The main color of this website is white and blue. However, the colors for dividing different columns are not very obvious. The picture for helping descript the news was too small to get clear information about the idea of the story and the light grey description of the picture does not works very well for its own sake. The font size of the word is also too small for reading in a comfortable way.



The design of placing the sharing ways of yahoo news, dislike the website of SBS, which places both in the front and the end of the article. This kind of design gives more impressive ideas of sharing to readers and increases the chance of being shared. Another interesting thing worth to mentioning is every place name in this article was highlighted and linking to other news related.



Talking about the articles itself, the first feeling rushed into my mind is that it is informative but rather long and dull and boring. The news is talking about the concern of Japan, worrying about the stronger Chinese military because Chinese government didn’t give a transparent spent on military construction. The story start with an introduction of annual Defense of Japan report, I don’t believe it is a good beginning because most of the readers would probably feel boring about reading an analysis of report. The opening of a news story should be eye-catch and induce the curiosity of the readers and let them have interest of moving on.

The information is not well-organized because the statistics, the names of places and the interview are disordered. In a word, although the military news are very difficult to be wrote interesting, this news make it worse with information cluttered in the article.
